We are in a lockdown from past 10 days almost. And now realising how taken for granted we take things. I was so addicted to food ordering. Past couple of days I was craving for sweet (Indian dessert). When I checked my stash I found some desiccated coconut and I decided to make coconut laddoo out of it. I had some sweetened condensed milk also with me but if it’s not there no problem you can use normal milk and sugar also.
- as I was using dessicated coconut so I just put it on my frying pan, flame was set on low. If you are using freshly grated coconut better to saute it in some ghee.
I like the flavour of cardamom so I added 2 crushed cardamom.
added sweetened condensed milk. the ratio should be for 1 portion of desiccated coconut you should use 3/4th condensed milk. If you are using milk directly it should be 2.5 cup of milk along with sugar as per taste.
condensed milk shorten the process as you will soon feel that the mixture is ready. Kindly note that if you are using fresh coconut and have used ghee the mixture will start leaving ghee once it’s ready.
switch off the flame wait for 10 mins or let it cool for sometime.
make the ball and dust it with some desiccated coconut.
