I did a post way back in June’2020 where I have mentioned my first and failed attempt for Ombre nails..I learned and I tried 2nd time it was better than first but still I was not happy. Tried for 3rd time again a bit better but not much happy. After that I broke one of my nail and hence had to cut others nails too.
I thought to summarise both attempt and as I am growing back my nails again so will share updates on that front too. Anyway you can check my previous post here
Now coming to my second attempt
I used two different brand color, a big mistake in my opinion as their formula was very different one was thick and another one was comparatively thin. Hence they didn’t merged well
firstly a Latex peel off around nails followed by base coat after that I applied white base coat and let it dry completely didn’t do the mistake of last time
First applied dark nail polish on sponge and layered it with light nail polish and slowly dabbed on my nails one by one on each finger. Let it dry repeated the process from start that is applied nail polish on sponge and dabbed. I think I did a mistake here may be I don’t know the correct way of application though many video showed this but somehow it didn’t worked for me as you will see in the pic below it was kind of dotted.
So the final result was a dotted kind of ombre but still much better than the last time. I topped it with top coat. Top coat is from Innisfree I really don’t remember which brand Polishes I have used for blue and sky blue.
Here is the pic
Now coming to my third attempt-
As initial steps were totally fine hence went ahead till white base
This time instead of putting nail polish on sponge I put the same on a plastic base. And then dabbed the sponge on them and dabbed the sponge on my nail.
This worked really good. Though I got greedy in last for more dense result hence in 3rd coat I over applied the color hence kind of messed up. Removing was even more painful so I continued with it.
Below is the pic
So I am still learning and waiting for my nails to grow a bit more so that I can start doing Experiment on nail art and ombre nail art both
With lots of
